Deadline for Renewal of Practising Licenses and Oath Taking -March 31, 2017

Pursuant to the Engineers Registration Act (Cap 63) all Professional Engineers are required to have valid Practising Licenses and take Professional Oath.
The current Licenses expired on December 31, 2016, thus, in order for Professional/Consulting Engineers to renew them, they will be required to submit their CPD Logbooks for 2014-2016 (downloaded from www.erb.go.tz) and pay relevant fees. Engineers are required to visit the Board Offices at Tetex House-2nd Floor, Pamba Road from March 17-31, 2017 for submission of CPD Logbooks and payments of annual fee.
Further, the Board will administer Professional Oath taking session for those who haven’t yet taken on March 31, 2017 at ERB Offices in Dar es Salaam at 10:00hrs.
In view of the above, the Board invites all engineers to renew their expired practising licenses and take oath for those who have not yet taken.
Please Note that pursuant to Section 12A(3) of the Engineers Registration Act, 1997, No engineer will be allowed to continue to practise after March 31, 2017 without a valid Practising License.
Pursuant to Paragraph 11(d) of the 1st Schedule of the Engineering Works, Services and Projects Monitoring Regulations, 2015 (GN No. 237 of June 26, 2015) , the Penalty for Practising without a valid License: Professional Engineer (500,000/=) Consulting Engineer (700,000/=) and a Engineering Consulting Firm (1,000,000/=) or Deletion.
