Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa calls on local engineers to increase their participation in local development projects.
He said that through the implementation of Tanzania's Third National Five-Year Development Plan that aims to reduce unemployment from 9% to 8% by 2025/2026, the government plan to fulfill its ambition to ensure that it focuses on the participation of Tanzanians in the Works sector to develop skills.
He said this at the 20th Annual Engineers Day, on 14th September, 2023 at Mlimani City Complex, Dar es Salaam when he represented the President. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.
"The Ministry of Works and the Engineers Registration Board, ERB are working on the issue of the limited participation of citizen engineers in national development projects, this is a challenge that you have raised, the Government has set a plan to to work on this challenge to increase the number of citizen engineers participating in local projects ". He said Majaliwa.
